Construction Recruiting From zero to “local stars”
Case study — Loflin Concrete

From no online presence to local stars — and 40,000+ views on one shop video.

01 — Hear it from them
They’ve taken us from no online presence to — we’re kind of local stars now.

03 — The client

Loflin Concrete has been a family-run concrete business since 1969, with a philosophy of using marketing to let folks know who they are and how they do things. After decades of excellent work, their online presence amounted to a handful of Facebook posts.

The challenge
Almost no digital footprint to point customers or recruits to
A new Greensboro plant coming online with no way to tell anyone
Attracting qualified applicants in a competitive labor market
No time or capacity to produce content in-house
The approach

A standing shoot-day rhythm across the shop, the dispatch office, and live job sites — plus a time-lapse camera on the new plant from raw land to finished build. Everything comes back a few days later in one email from Courtney: the cuts, the captions, the thumbnails, ready to post. Applicants now walk in referencing the videos.

05 — Photos in the Field

Night pours, sunrise starts, and the crews who work both.

Night and sunrise jobsite photography off the same shoot days as the films — sites, the plant, and the trucks between them.
A night pour spreading across the vapour barrier, the building lit up behind
Sunrise over the slab pour, boom pump reaching out across the deck
Straight down on two mixer trucks discharging side by side
A Loflin mixer backed up to the footing, crew working the chute
Two mixers and the pump holding on the pad at last light
A Loflin mixer loading under the batch plant silos
Two crew guiding the chute, concrete dropping into the footing
A driver at the wheel of a Loflin mixer, the LC mark on the door
Aerial on the pour, the boom reaching across the blue sheeting
A crew member in a Loflin shirt working the chute
A worker walking the fresh slab out toward the treeline
Aerial over the whole slab, trucks lined up along the barrier
A crawler crane setting a wall panel at the warehouse build
Working the pump hose on the night pour, the slab running out into the dark
A shooter filming the mixer discharge from the roadside
A worker placing concrete by bucket out on the gravel
A canted night aerial down the length of the pour, work lights blazing
Crew working the chute across the gravel pad
A shooter shooting stills in high-vis on the pour
Two of the crew talking on the haul road, pump truck waiting behind
A driver waving down from the cab of a Loflin mixer
Night aerial of the lit pour, the vapour barrier glowing blue
Close at the back of the mixer, chute swung out and washing down
