Animation and 3D video production shows what a camera cannot reach — buried utilities, the inside of a pump, a phased build that will not exist for two years. CDS Visuals builds product animation, process animation, 3D renderings, and motion graphics for construction and manufacturing companies from Fort Mill, SC, serving the Charlotte metro and clients nationwide. We work from your drawings and specs so what is on screen matches what you actually deliver, then cut it into the same films we shoot live. For Anderson UnderBridge we built a VR-ready walkthrough of an inspection unit that works suspended beneath live traffic. Every project ships with a custom animated logo intro and branded lower thirds, and the files are yours to keep.
A lot of what the trades do is invisible on camera — buried utilities, the inside of a pump, a phased build that won’t exist for two years. Animation makes it clear, accurate, and yours.
Lakeside Pointe, a Beechwood Carolinas property, needed to sell a neighborhood that hadn’t been built yet. In the development team’s long experience, renderings never quite matched what actually got built — which makes them a hard thing to market with.
Both. When the camera cannot get there — underground, inside the machine, or years into the future — we build it in animation or 3D and cut it into the film. Custom animation is scoped as its own line so you see the cost before we build it. Every project ships with a custom animated logo intro and branded lower thirds.
Anything the lens cannot reach: utilities, foundations and everything a trench hides; cutaways of how the equipment actually works; a finished project years before it exists; hazards and procedures you would rather not stage; specs, flow rates and numbers turned into motion; and assembly steps sequenced so they are easy to follow.
We scope it on the strategy call and price it up front. Custom animation is scoped as its own line so you see the cost before we build it, separately from any filming. What moves the number is the length of the sequence, how much of the geometry has to be modelled from scratch, and whether you need a VR-ready or interactive version as well as video.
Drawings, CAD files, spec sheets, and photographs all help — the more accurate the source material, the more accurate the model. Where there is nothing to work from, we build from measurements and your team reviews the geometry before we animate it, so the mistakes get caught while they are still cheap to fix.
That is usually the strongest version. We shoot the parts a camera can cover, animate the parts it cannot, and cut them into one film with a consistent branded look. A walkaround that cuts from the real machine to an internal cutaway explains more in thirty seconds than either one does alone.
You do, permanently. Every finished video, still, graphic, and raw asset goes into a tagged, searchable library that stays yours whether we work together once or for ten years. No licensing windows, no re-use fees, no files held hostage on somebody else’s hard drive.
The Charlotte metro is a day trip — Fort Mill, Rock Hill, Charlotte, Concord, Gastonia, Monroe. Past that we travel coast to coast and have filmed in twenty states. Travel and accommodations are included in our scopes, so distance changes the schedule, not the surprise column on your invoice.
