Piedmont Paving is a family-run milling and paving contractor in Kernersville, North Carolina. We started filming their job sites before CDS was even CDS — back when they had just put their first milling machine to work. Great crews, sharp work, and almost nobody outside the county knew their name.

The challenge

A paving schedule that turns on a dime — shoot days set two to four days out
Bidding against bigger names with bigger marketing budgets
Recruiting operators in a tight labor market
The approach

A five-year-plus content partnership run on their clock, not ours. We document job sites as they happen, build the crew stories and equipment features around them, run the YouTube channel and the social calendar, and plan around a schedule that changes the day of. One of those job-site videos — Mercedes of Greensboro — took home Best Marketing Video of the Year at PaveX, and the exposure carried them to Contractor of the Year the season after.
